The B5 meets a wide variety of market needs through:

• Performance and productivity – delivers propane-like gloss results and maximizes shine with optimized down pressure and pad speed; easy-to-identify yellow maintenance touch points simplify operator training and minimize machine downtime; the burnishing head pivots upward 90° to allow for easy pad inspection and replacement; an onboard manual and integrated information graphics ensure easy operation for users of all skill levels.

The Judging Process

A panel of 24 international design experts from design consultancies, corporations and universities judged nearly 2,000 entries from countries including Australia, China, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the US. The jury evaluated entries on aspects of industrial design excellence including: innovation; benefits to the user and client; and sustainability as well as the design’s visual appeal.
